How long have you been in business?
29 years. And we will always charge a service call. Any one, (in my opinion) who says they do not, is dishonest. I have yet to find an honest company, who does not charge a service call . If they come out for free, how do they stay in business??? If they do not charge a service fee, than you probably will be charged for parts you did not need to make up the difference. How can they pay the tech, the truck expense, and their overhead??? They have to make a profit. The free service ploy, gets them in your door. Then they can (cheat away with your hard earned money)!!!!
What is your primary product or service?
Expert Air conditioning service, repair, and replacement
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I worked at a supply house right out of high school. I realized that I was more competent than 99 percent of the contractors and service personal that I was selling parts to.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My wife and I treat people like we want to be treated. We schedule service when it is convenient with the home owner. We also don't let the customer make a mistake, by putting in equipment just because they read something about. We have been in business for 29 years. We know what equipment is junk, and what is not.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
1 location. No expanding planned. There is no need for more locations. We come to your house to serve your needs.
What type of payments do you accept?
All major credit cards, checks, and yes we still take cash.
Which areas do you service?
All of Austin, and the surrounding communities.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Eunice, and Chuck Wilks, own the company. Matthew Wilks, our son is our primary field tech.
What are your hours of operation?
We are available 7 days a week.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That we explain what we are doing, and show them why the a/c failed. That we are the only people who want our customers to feel comfortable with they decision to use us.
