I have been offering the Spanish curriculum to schools since 1998
What is your primary product or service?
Complete Spanish Curriculum for Elementary Schools that provides teachers and students with all the materials needed to have effective lessons. It stimulates teaching and learning using different learning styles.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was a Spanish Instructor for 12 years and realized the great need for Spanish Instruction materials for children. I developed a program that is creative, colorful and all the pieces connect with each other to incorporate music, sign language, games, visual aids and movement. My mission was to help students retain the information learned in a short period of time while enjoying learning.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Because I was a teacher, I created the dream of other teachers...to not have to spend time preparing for their classes. The curriculum has everything they need, even if they have no previous experience teaching Spanish.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
There are 2 school districts in Austin using the curriculum with parent volunteers and other schools using it afterschool and during school time. The program is offered around the country in schools and through independent instructors who own their business offering classes.
