How long have you been in business?
EMR Elevator, Inc. has been in business since 1984, and incorporated in 1994.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary service is elevator, escalator, service, repair and installation of all makes and models at competitive rates with exceptional quality.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We first became interested in this trade from friends that were in the trade and the opportunities that were being offered during that time. It was a trade that fit my interests and skills. My background is 30 years of elevator/escalator knowledge.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
EMR Elevator, Inc. is a non-union company in a predominantly union trade. We have been successful in attaining a level where we can compete on almost any project and provide the same quality - if not better- at a better price. EMR is the largest non-union independent elevator company in the State of Texas, and has exclusive hosting for the Texas Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
EMR Elevator, Inc. has locations in Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. We are always looking at our opportunities to open office in new cities, however, we do currently service the entire State of Texas. We will be opening in Louisiana and Oklahoma in 2013

All of EMR's locations are centrally located in each city for convenience to our Customers. Since we come to the customer to address their conveyance needs, our several locations permit us to better serve them.
What type of payments do you accept?
EMR accepts check, credit card, and in situations where it is the only option, cash.
Which areas do you service?
EMR services the entire State of Texas. Specific job requests and situations determine the ability to handle service calls in remote locations.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
EMR Elevator Inc.'s owners are Hope Evans, President with 53% ownership and Larry Evans, Vice President with 47% ownership. Daily operations are handled by the management team, which consists of the President, V.P., Operations Director and four Superintendents.
What are your hours of operation?
EMR Elevator Inc.'s hours of operation for service are 24/7; 24 hours a day- 7 days a week, with a live answering service for after hours and weekend calls. Our office hours for administrative items are M-F 8:00am-5:00pm.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best compliment EMR could receive is that we are an honest business that truly cares about its' customers and provides great service while delivering on it's promises. Personally, the same thing.... that I am an honest person that truly cares about my friends and family.
