Marathon Kids is a national, twelve-year-old non-profit that is headquartered in Austin. It began as a grassroots initiative in Austin. It is now a nationally recognized, copyrighted, trademarked, incremental school-based fitness and nutrition program. It is a free, endurance-building running/walking, nutrition, schoolyard gardening program for K through 5th graders. It is in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Rio Grande Valley, Baltimore, Los Angeles and Chicago. Our target market are children most vulnerable to sedentary lifestyles and type 2 diabetes.
